Hi Gang!
My schedule has changed for the next few months. My hip surgery that was scheduled for this coming Monday has been postponed. They didn't like some of my pre-surgical health data. Exact date has not been determined yet. Possibly end of August or early September. Therefore, I will be able to make rehearsals for the next month or so, then we'll play it by ear. Afterall, we are 'ear singers'. I will not be able to make the Moondogs, and at this time, church sing-outs are 'iffy'. I'll keep you posted.
Music for Tuesday's rehearsal will be from the following:
O Canada
Minnesota Medley
On Wisconsin
God Bless America
Battle Hymn
Cheek to Cheek
In That Great Gettin' Up Mornin/Good News
Morte Christe
Wonderful World
Yesterday
King of the Road
Amazing Grace

Here is the music plan for tomorrow's rehearsal. Sorry all this is such short notice. Have no fear. All will be fine. Print and download what you can. Copies and tracks for Como will be available for those who need them.

Hi guys,
Hope everyone had a great July 4th weekend!! Tomorrow, Tuesday, July 8th I will be at CTK at 6:30 to open up for rehearsal unless something else is going on (it will be open).
Things to remember:
NO rehearsal next week Tuesday (July 15) due to picnic at Gary's. Will do final roll call tomorrow for that, hope you can join us. ALSO No Board Meeting this month but there may be an abbreviated Board meeting following the Show Committee Meeting on July 29th
The week following (July 22) we will be doing Moondogs - O Canada and National Anthem prior to rehearsal - if you plan to participate in that you should be attending rehearsals-especially tomorrow night.
Haven't heard what other songs we will be working on tomorrow but presume our church songs and Como Park songs and fall convention songs.
Our Mapleton/Amboy sing out isn't going to happen so I'm hoping someone could line up a St. Peter church sing out. Any interest? If not there will only be 2 sing outs this summer: Mankato and Waseca/Waterville (We could also do 2 Sundays in Mankato)
Also, I will be taking roll call again for Como Park - Tuesday, August 12 - check your calendar - we need a good group for that and will plan to car-pool.
Fall convention registration went out this past week by email. Arv will start the sign up for that when he gets back and will probably do a group registration. He also has some rooms already reserved so check with him if you would like a room - sounds like it will be a great time!! Oct. 10-11th
Contact Curt if you want to participate in the Paddlefish Days Parade in Madison Lake on Saturday July 26 - Noon Line up
.
Stay tuned,
Stan Bruss - Pres.

Hi guys,
It's taken a bit to rest and recover but we did a great job Saturday on our show. Thanks to all who sold tickets, sponsorships, invited friends and let's take time to celebrate our success. On Tuesday at 5:30 we'll gather at Jakes Stadium Pizza for fellowship and fun. Bring your wife/girldriend/family and for $5 each its all you can eat pizza, soft drinks and singing until they kick us out. If you have a perspective singer, they are welcome too!! Beer and wine is on you.
An update, I received a text from Gary today (Monday) at about 3 PM that Curts's surgery went well, and for those of us with a prayer life, I would ask you to include Curt for healing and recovery. We all missed him on stage and I had had several people inquire after the show about "where was Curt?" Also hoping Garry S. And Leon T. are feeling better soon as well - we still need the baritones!!
As your President, 2024 BOTY, and show chair, I'm proud to be a Riverblender!!
Hope to see you, and your family, Tuesday at Jakes at 5:30. If you have some new, ideas and want to be a part of the Patriotic shows coming up, show up at 4:30 - I'm buy 'in!
Stay tuned,
Stan B.

Hi Guys,
Not sure how but some of you have received emails appearing to be from me but they are not from stanbruss@charter.net requesting help with funding. Please disregard and delete. All is fine.
This is the final week to get those tickets sold and be ready to turn in your ticket packets and $$ on Friday evening at dress rehearsal to Jon.
Reminder that tomorrow (Tuesday) the Show Committee meets at 5:30 to finalize plans and following that (about 6:30) we will be assembling the show programs in room 7 - if you can come early, please do. Also, we can help Dave set up the risers for rehearsal, probably in the big room like last week
.
Stay tuned,
Stan

Hi Guys,
Really hoping for a great turnout tonight for rehearsal (only 3 before the show). Since last week's vote I was pleased to share with Mike Lagerquist his nomination for our 2025 Award of Harmony - he was very honored, and we are now working on his presentation script and a few pics for a slide show during the script.
Also, Jon started handing out ticket packets for the show at the end of this month. If you didn't get yours, he will be there tonight, perhaps a bit late since he has a golf meet to coach. If you need more tickets, see Jon. Also keep in mind that my Labor Day Fun Day at my cabin will include all Riverblenders and their guests who sold at least $300 of Tickets and or Sponsorships for the show. I'm hoping for a huge group. Food, beverage, and fun on me!
Arv is working hard on our Patriotic show with Windom and will share the latest tonight. We will be doing the performances at Mountain Lake and Windom then at Mankato (CTK) and Madison Lake two weeks later. Please start looking to get your guest(s) to sing with us starting the first Tuesday in May. They are also welcome to Pizza at Jakes on Tuesday, April 29th and can sing with us at the Moondogs game on May 26.
Thanks to all who are out there getting our sponsorships lined up and selling those tickets!! See you at 7 at CTK!!!
Stay tuned,
Stan B

Hi Guys,
Including tonight we have 4 rehearsals before the show. Hope we can continue to polish our songs. Check out your weak spots
.
Also tonight I will present the nominees for the Award of Harmony and we will vote during the break at 8. As of today I have 3 nominations. One on paper, the others will be presented by those that nominated them. We will probably use paper ballots to decide and announce the decision at the Chapter meeting at 9. Thanks for your input!!
Stay tuned,
Stan
